The farm kitchen chef works forty (40) hours a week making fresh prepared food for the farmers markets and managing the all aspects of the farm kitchen. Other tasks include: lacto fermenting, inventory recording, communicating with farm crew, maintaining a clean and functional kitchen, and managing other kitchen workers.
Previous culinary experience is required. We are looking for a motivated, individual who has experience with seasonal vegetarian cooking and wants to be part of our farm team. We have a wonderful crew on our farm and we all enjoy cooking and sharing meals throughout the season.
This job starts in mid May and runs through mid November. Work is from Monday through Friday, 8-4, with some Saturdays during the busy farm season.

COMPENSATION: hourly, $15/hr or more
The farm kitchen assistant chef works in all aspects of our farm commercial kitchen including preparing seasonal vegetarian dips, soups and salads, lacto fermented krauts and slaws and canned goods. All of these products are sold at our local farmers markets throughout the season. We use produce from our farm along with other organic ingredients.
Previous culinary experience is not a requirement, but would be an great asset. We are looking for motivated, hard working individuals who want to participate in the team effort that is required to run a successful operation.
This job would start in mid May and end mid November (dates are flexible).
